Harbour Apartment is a design of amalgamation within a 1970s building on the shores of Sydney Harbour. Through intimacy, restraint, and a carefully staged sequence of arrival, the design redefines contemporary harbour living.
An unfolding journey
In contrast to the open-plan conventions in Sydney that typically maximise harbour views from the moment of entry, the layout here unfolds deliberately. A long timber-lined corridor leads from the entrance past the kitchen, before giving way to the generous living area and the harbour beyond. The view is withheld until the final moment, choreographing a spatial journey from intimacy to openness.
A quiet luxury
Luxury is expressed quietly, through atmosphere and touch. The interior is shaped by tactile materials, a warm palette, and clean lines. Wood and stone give the apartment a calm, grounded character that speaks of comfort without ostentation, while uninterrupted surfaces punctuated only by concealed doors lend the space a quiet refinement.
